Irving Ave. Restoration
The design concept to restore the landscape of this home was carefully planned. The clients wanted to retain the lush feeling of a large lawn but agreed to reduce the sod area by enlarging the beds and creating a repurposed path made of slate and old brick pieces found on-site.
By enlarging the entrance walk with a pebble border to contain the path lighting, planting several new trees and enlarging the planting beds we created a much more vibrant landscape.
The original design formality was respected with a dwarf Raphiolepis hedge bordering the planting beds and included other classic plants such as Camellias and Hydraingea. As the bed wraps around the southwest side of the lawn the added combination of California Natives create a textured and bio-diverse landscape.
