Sunnyside

Suburban

To use the space more efficiently we built a flagstone patio and enlarged the original walk with an edging of flagstone to make for a wider more dynamic entrance.

A portion of split-rail fencing was used to delineate the entrance and also act as a friendly barrier to the neighborhood dogs and walkers. The clients requested a limited plant color palette of white, purple and various greens and a profusion of flowers for the children to pick.

The side of the property was planted with California Natives that thrive under the existing oak trees. Finally a rain garden was created to capture the rainwater from the roof gutters That's then channeled to sink down into a mulched area and back into the water table.
