Sunnyside
A corner suburban lot had a lot of potential which we used to its best advantage. We planted several trees to buffer the view and add seasonal interest
A portion of split-rail fencing was used to delineate the entrance and act as a friendly barrier to the neighborhood dogs and walkers. The clients requested a limited plant color palette of white, purple and various greens and a profusion of flowers for the children to pick.
A seating area was established with a flagstone patio for gathering.
The side of the property was planted with California Natives that thrive under the existing oak trees. Finally a rain garden was created to capture the rainwater from the roof gutters, then channeled to sink into a mulched area and back into the water table.
