Jameson Court

The house was sitting in a sea of turf seemingly unanchored. There was no privacy from the street and as the house faces west it was blasted by the sun and heat all summer.

My crew  removed the lawn and we created deep curved planting beds of gravel and mulch. We planted an assortment of strong sturdy heat tolerant shrubs, with a few Agaves and Australian Natives mixed in.

We then played off a river rock wall across the street and bordered the existing serpentine concrete walkway with an interpretation of a stream bed using rock and gravel.

A depression from a removed tree was dug out and made into a fairy garden for the little girl of the household with a stacked slate bird bath plus pretty flowers and herbs to pick.
