A Silver Lake Terrace

A dark and forgotten backyard was reimagined as a bright welcoming place to play and entertain in.

An overgrown ficus tree was removed to let more light into the area and leveling and creating a grid of permeable concrete pads created space for three separate outdoor rooms.

An 8' Mahogany bench was built to use as seating or a serving area and the adjoining patio is used as a dining area.

The planting included a Bougainvillea and a Calliandra vine to grow against the iron fencing as well as a sturdy  collection of low maintenance plants to soften the edges of the hardscaping.
